Introduction to Me

     My name is Jake Bucher, and I am a Psychology major at FSU with a minor in Education. I have three dogs, their names are Waffles, Max, and Benny. My interests include Marvel, Star Wars, DC and LEGO. A weird hobby of mine is that I like to birdwatch and go birding. I actually have a wildlife photography account on Instagram called Jakeswildlifephotography. 

    Personally, I have not participated in many educational settings besides attending school itself. While in college, I have mostly used Canvas, along with Zoom and Flipgrid. However, in high school, when covid first started, I had to use Microsoft Teams, so I have a decent expertise in that department. I am also Microsoft certified in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, for both the years of 2013 and 2016. I have also created a multitude of websites using Weebly and Wixsite. 

    The only real learning networks I use are the resources that are given to me by my professors. Although, if it counts, I have used quizlet to make study sets to help myself before. It was mostly in high school that I used Quizlet though. I have also used photomath to help explain math problems to me, when the textbook wasn't able to explain well enough, along with an app called Slader to help me with chemistry and how to solve or balance certain equations.

    Hey Jake! I am also a psychology major minoring in education. Having grown up with two older brothers and a nerd of a dad I am also obsessed with Marvel, Star Wars, and I lovedddddd Legos as a kid. Currently, DC is in the outs for me. I haven't been impressed since the Cartoon Network Justice League that my dad and I loved.

    Hey Jake! I checked out your photography account on Instagram and wanted to tell you how cool your photos look!! I loved looking at the different birds you posted. I am also getting a minor in Education so that is something we have in common!

      On the website that I scoured, I was able to find every single teachers' personal website that was designed by each of them individually. On the specific site for the William Floyd school district, was a teacher named Ms. Tepper. She teaches earth science and here site clearly reflects this by having an "Intro to Earth Science" youtube video on the home page of her site and has basic information labeled on there for parents' use.        My first experience with Twitter was with my personal account and I found it as a good way to keep updated on global news in the world. For this teacher account for this course, I found it as an interesting way to keep in contact with other students in the class and with the teacher. Twitter will help me connect with other teachers in my career, as a way to professionally connect with others. Twitter can also help me with my future career in the way of helping me connect with my students in a fun and effective way, yet still maintaining a sense of professionalism.      Everyone in this world, more or less, rely on some form of technology.
